About

Our story began about 23 years ago when we established the Ballet Conservatory in Independence, Missouri. It is the only ballet school in the midwest with teachers registered by the Royal Academy of Dance. RAD is an international examining body to insure proper classical ballet training for students and teachers. Twelve years later we decided to include in our facility an area for different events besides ballet recitals. Thus came the Cotillion Room and Garden at the Ballet Conservatory.

The Cotillion Room is a beautiful venue for weddings, receptions, and a variety of other special events. However we are especially proud of the beautiful garden seen through the glass in the french doors. The doors open to the surprise of all guests to a scene of a lily pond with a bridge, five landscaped tiers of flowers, a large deck set with a view of five acres of wooded land. When guests enter the garden through the french doors they enjoy looking down at the very large Koi fish in the lily pond and then proceed down the path to a large deck then on down the path to a lovely gazebo surrounded by flowers often used for wedding ceremonies.

Guests will notice that the garden is secluded by tall privacy fences on the South and East leaving the North open to the a grassy meadow and forest.

The garden boosts of flowered paths, a garden swing and fountain for a beautiful background for pictures.

Whether you are having a special event or just like to wander in the garden you are welcome to visit and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Cotillion garden.
